Darina Karpov
Darina Karpov was born in St. Petersburg and trained in both Moscow and the U.S., she earned her MFA from Yale. Her practice weaves personal history, cultural critique, and formal experimentation into drawings and prints that have gained international recognition.
Her work is held in major collections including the Princeton University Art Museum and the Zabludowicz Trust. A two-time Pollock-Krasner Foundation grantee, she has also received fellowships from NYSCA/NYFA, Yaddo, MacDowell, and the Lower East Side Print Shop. Her practice is featured in Frozen Dreams: Contemporary Art from Russia (Thames & Hudson).
